Mitch Miller-Camptown Races, Oh' Susanna

CAMPTOWN RACES

The Camptown ladies sing this song
Doo-dah,doo-dah!
The Camptown race track's five miles long
On, doo-dah day!

I come down there with my hat caved in
Doo-dah.doo-dah!
I go back home with a pocket full of tin
Oh, doo-dah day!

Goin'to run all night,
goin'to run all day
I'll bet my money on a bob-tail nag
Somebody bet on the bay

The longtail filly and the big black horse
Doo-dah,doo-dah!
They fly the track and they both cut across
On. doo-dah day!

The blind horse stickin' in a big mud hole
Doo-dah.doo-dah!
Can't touch bottom with a ten-foot pole
Oh. doo-dah day!

Goin'to run all night.
goin'to run all day
I'll bet my money on a bob-tail nag
Somebody bet on the bay

Oh, Susanna

I come from Alabama
With my banjo on my knee
I'm going to Louisiana,
My true love for to see

It rained all night
The day I left
The weather it was dry
The sun so hot,
I froze to death
Susanna, don't you cry

Oh, Susanna,
Oh don't you cry for me
For I come from Alabama
With my banjo on my knee

I had a dream the other night
When everything was still
I thought I saw Susanna
A-coming down the hill

The buckwheat cake
Was in her mouth
The tear was
In her eye
Says I, I'm coming from the south
Susanna, don't you cry

Oh, Susanna,
Oh don't you cry for me
For I come from Alabama
With my banjo on my knee

¹é¿ë±¹ Thank you Note from Yong Kuk
It was so wonderful reunion to see you all.
I cannot describe my feeling by my short English words, but it was a very sentimental reunion as long as I am concerned.
I saw the bugo website and saw all the pictures and the words and music that you have placed in the Bulletin Board, I did not know until yesterday that you love music so much and be emotional to a nice moving music, like me sometimes. I wanted to print all the pictures but I am still here in Seoul, so I could not do that.
I am going to respond to all good friends and say "THANK YOU" who came to meet us and had a good time with us, I don't have all the e-mail addresses here.
Well, I have to run now, you know I am on the road now, and I will discuss the Las Vegas matters with friends in U.S. to make the reunion a memorable one. See you in Las Vegas,

YongKuk
